Kiosk Enclosures
The software developed by CD Meyer for the interactive exhibits will run
on a standard computer PC running Windows™. Although the user interface
can be a simple mouse or track ball, a touch screen monitor interface is
the recommended hardware option. The touch screen interface is unique to
the exhibit venue, it’s fun to use, and it makes the computer program
different from the typical home game experience. Our experience with touch
screen technology is extensive and we highly recommend using a touch screen
monitor in a public exhibit.
CD Meyer has provided software and/or hardware to over 50 museums in 22 US states, Australia and Canada.
The housing
for the computer can be as simple as a hole in the wall
to expose the touch screen or can be a stand-alone unit.
CD Meyer has designed and developed a line of kiosk enclosures
that are affordable, attractive, and durable. The kiosk
enclosures are ADA compliant and easy to set up and maintain.
Along with the standard, stand up kiosk units, we can offer
an "all-in-one" computer/touch screen unit. This small
unit is very affordable and versitile. Technology consulting
services are also available for large, exhibit construction
projects.
